My dad and I went ice fishing last weekend.

My dad and I have consistently loved fishing together, but now that I am a grown up with kids of my own, we still enjoy getting together every once in a while for a weekend fishing. I bought a small Winter time beach house up by the lake for my dad and I to use during the ice fishing season. The beach house is near the best section of the lake and I have access to the water during all seasons of the year. The only problem with the beach house is the fact that it doesn’t have any heat. Since the beach house is made for ice fishing, it is not equipped with heat. It can be easily frigid out on the lake, so I thought it was a nice method to buy a space heater. There is not any electricity in the cabin, so I had to buy a space furnace that runs on kerosene. The space furnace was expensive, but I only have to run the furnace for a few hours and it warms up the entire space. I have access to kerosene all of the time, so I have an unlimited supply of fuel for the heater. My dad and I went ice fishing last weekend. The people I was with and I didn’t have much fortune on the water, however we had a relaxing and comfortable time thanks to the addition of the heater. The people I was with and I managed to pull in a couple of fish on Wednesday, however none of them were big enough to keep. We’re going to try again next weekend, and hopefully we will have better luck. Some of guys down the road pulled more than one large salmon out of the water.
