I love thrift store shopping.

I never liked to splurge on stuff and I didnt grow up very wealthy.

My mom and I have been going thrift store shopping since I was little. We made it a weekly thing. I have a favorite thrift store that I go to now. I get the best deals and always leave with a lot of stuff for very little money. But, It could be a better experience. The thrift store’s HVAC system is in bad shape. Everytime I go shopping there, it feels humid and warm inside, so I have to make my shopping trip quickly. It feels as if the air conditioning is running with all the windows and doors open letting the humid air from outside coming in. I never get a chance to make it through the entire store before I get so uncomfortable and I have to leave within 30 minutes. I knew I couldn’t be the only customer complaining. The last time I went, I decided to ask the manager what the problem was with their heating and cooling system. Turns out that many customers have been complaining and they have seen a decline in business because of it. Unfortunately, the owner couldn’t afford to have it fixed. The last time I planned on doing some shopping there, the doors were locked and there was a sign saying they were closed for maintenance. I saw an HVAC company truck parked out front so that signaled to me that the owner finally was able to afford a replacement HVAC system. Now, the store will be so nice to go shopping in because the air conditioned air will be blowing efficiently. Hopefully, they also have a dehumidifier installed as well to combat the house humid temperatures here in the south.
