The Heat From My Lamps Threw My Thermostat Off

My mom went through a important decluttering phase, he got rid of 80% of his belongings and the best part about it was that I got to go through the items he didn’t want anymore and take what I wanted! One of the best things I got from his was a matching set of lamps. I’d never seen these lamps before and when I asked his where he got them, he said the acquaintance gave them to his a few weeks prior and he didn’t have somewhere to put them. I thought they were great, so I happily took them and set them up in our hallway. I kept the lamps on during the night so it was easy to see at night. A few nights after I brought them home, I noticed how cold I was getting at night. I would wake up shivering and it would think love our oil furnace wasn’t even running. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier and asked them to come service our oil furnace, then when the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier arrived, he asked myself and others about our up-to-date lamps and I thought he was being polite. When I said they were kept on during the nights, he told myself and others that they were causing our thermostat to respond differently. The heat from the lamps were leading the thermostat to believe it was warmer than it really was, causing our oil furnace to not run at all. I’m cheerful there were no serious problems with the oil furnace, although I had to move our up-to-date lamps to a different spot in the house.
