People tend to think that just because I live up here in the mountains that I am backwards or primitive or something. Listen up, just because I care about hunting and fishing for my food, & growing my own crops, doesn’t make me primitive in the least. I have a lot of the same tech you have in your property, however on top of that I can also live a self sufficient lifestyle & I never have to depend on anyone for my necessities. I have electricity, plus a backup generator for any type of emergencies. I can still survive without it too. I care about having wireless internet, cable tv, & air conditioning equipment, however without power I can go on living just fine. I have central Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment that provides me with heating & cooling, however I have many heat sources. I have a dozen ways of heating the cottage up without electrical power, even if I do lose a lot of my creature comforts. I don’t need air conditioning equipment to survive, however I do require heat in the cold season. I always keep a good 3 month wood supply for the furnace, in case of a worst case scenario. I never have lost power for a long stage of time, however I would only miss a few tv shows, & genuinely get a bit warm with no AC equipment… Don’t get me wrong here, I care about cooling equipment as much as the next man, but I won’t act like a complete baby if I have to go without using it.
