After my buddy just finished writing his first book, he wanted me to read it to provide him with some feedback before he went to see his publisher and editor.

I had to admit that his writing style was fabulous.

I especially enjoyed this romantic scene where the guy and the beautiful lady were getting cozy in front of the fireplace in the man’s home. I almost felt like I could feel the warmth of the flames flowing over me and I could hear the crackling of the fireplace. It made me want to be there to put some more logs on the fire, and to enjoy a tender moment like that. I came to realize that this book made me want to get a fireplace. At that moment when I was reading the book, I actually wished that I had my own fireplace. I wasn’t able to help it, I ran out to the store and started looking at faux fireplaces. I wanted to be able to feel the book on a deeper level. I didn’t care that the faux fireplace was not a real fire, I loved the charm of it and I enjoyed the heating that radiated from it. I continued to enjoy the book and I was totally impressed by it. I had a lot of great things to say to my buddy. He asked me if there was anything that he could add to the story to make it better, and I said it was perfect the way it was. I even told him how the book inspired me to buy my own fireplace. He was surprised, but he appreciated the compliment to his writing.
