Like most people, I am unable to remember every single detail of my life. That is not always a bad thing by the way. There is plenty of scenarios that I can happily forget that’s for sure. Yet, it doesn’t make it any less tough to actually remember all the stuff that I need to be remembering. This isn’t a new thing. I’ve been dealing with this deal all of my life. And it’s always simple but important stuff that I tend to forget. Like the HVAC. I can’t seem to ever remember to change the HVAC filter on time. It seems that as simply as my life is, I should be able to remember the dang HVAC air filter. I know I love coming home to relax in the excellent comfort that the HVAC provides. That should be enough to get me to consider just where that comfort comes from. In turn, you’d think I might then wonder about whether it’s time to change the HVAC air filter. Yet, it just simply doesn’t seem to turn out like that. There are a lot of other things that are actively pressing for my attention. Some of those things come in the form of human voices while others are alarms or other electronic flags. I tend to get the message when these things are hollering at me. So, I had my oldest kid figure out just how to remind me about the HVAC air filters. They have to be changed once per month. Thus, my kid rigged a bunch of alarms to all of my devices. They are staggered to really grab my attention. If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will.
