Everyone in our apartment building has to do laundry in the same locale.

There is only a single laundry room for the entire apartment building plus it contains more than six washing machines, more than six dryers, plus a single absolutely huge device that is strictly for blankets plus comforters.

Considering there are about 100 weird families in the building, that’s not a lot of space or amenities. I do not like going to the laundry room because it always stinks bad. The locale doesn’t have any heat or AC, so the air is just trapped in the room. There is a small window in the corner of the laundry room, but it doesn’t allow absolutely much air flow, last year, the proprietor bought 2 box fans for the laundry room, but someone stole them a few nights later. If the room had some ventilation or a/c, it wouldn’t be terrible, but the musty smell from wet blankets plus stale clothing is all you can stink from fifty feet away. The next closest laundromat is about 10 blocks away, so I would have to take a cab or an uber. They have heat plus A/C plus they are open 24 hours a day. They even have a little eating establishment in the back of the locale with popcorn plus drinks. Still, that’s about twenty dollars more to do our laundry plus that’s an expense that I cannot afford. I look forward to a day when I have our own beach house plus our own laundry room. Of course with 2 more years left in school, that day is still pretty far away.
