Old is new again
Old is new again
When my central heating and air conditioning system broke down a few months ago it was right in the middle of a pretty hot summer.
I was about to call the local heating and cooling company for them to send out a certified heating and air conditioning specialist to fix it.
But then I began thinking…that is going to be a lot of money just for an emergency HVAC repair call. And then on top of the cost of the emergency HVAC repair call, whatever HVAC work actually needed to be done on the central heating and air conditioning system was going to be an additional cost and possibly be several hundred dollars. While I knew I had to get the central heating and air conditioning system repaired, did I really need to call for emergency heat and a/c repair? I thought of this and remembered that I still had my old window air conditioning system unit that I had back when I was a teenager living at my parents. This window air conditioning system unit went in my bedroom growing up. And when I moved out many years ago, I took it with me. It is good as new because I took care of it. So I decided to quickly instal the old window air conditioning system unit into my living room and see if it would cool it off enough for me to not have to call for emergency heat and a/c service. And what do you know? It actually did the trick!
