Heat plus humidity down south are a problem
Moving down south took some adjustment for my husband plus I, but we’d spent most of our lives residing in the far north. We were accustomed to sub zero temperatures, tons of snow plus dangerous wind chill; Our condo was equipped with a furnace plus a humidifier, plus every one of us relied on these multiple systems for the majority of the year. We agonized over the cost of heating plus spent a lot of time shoveling plus plowing snow. Our closets were full of heavy jackets, wool coats, durable boots plus knitted hats. We made sure the snow shovel, ice scraper plus rock salt were handy, and the severe Winter time was the main reason every one of us sold our condo plus bought a new place down south. Our goal was to never need a heating plan again. We chose an section where the temperature never falls below fifty degrees, but my husband plus I were gleeful to love sunny afternoons plus balmy temperatures. We didn’t realize that intense heat plus humidity are equally as challenging as severe cold; For at least half the year, every one of us hide inside the air conditioned house. We whine about the cost of electricity due to running the cooling plan at maximum capacity, but in an effort to decrease our energy costs plus improve comfort, every one of us invested in a whole-house dehumidifier. The dehumidifier pulls excess moisture out of the air, making it guess cooler. It helps to combat complications with mold plus mildew grow plus condensation. We are now considering another move. We’d prefer to be just a bit further north where the weather would really allow us to spend time outdoors plus not drain our budget on temperature control.
