I was surprised last month when a couple of HVAC servicemen arrived at our door.

They were talking about this new community initiative where they were trying to get people to donate their heating and A/C systems to help those in the community who needed an HVAC system.

When I asked what was in it for me, they said that if I donated our heating and A/C system, I would be able to get 20% off on a modern heating and A/C system upgrade. My heating and A/C system was a little old so I told them this, but they said that it didn’t matter, and so I decided to go for this deal. I figured if I was helping somebody by donating our heating and A/C unit, then I was doing a good thing. I also thought that was a good deal to get a modern HVAC unit installed for 20% off. I figured I could use a modern heating and A/C unit that had greater energy efficiency. So I arranged for them to get our old HVAC unit and to install the new HVAC unit upgrade. They said I was doing a good thing because they were going to bring our old heating and A/C unit to a family who was in need. I was glad to hear that I was actually helping a family out like that. I also enjoyed the fact that I was getting this good deal on this modern heating and A/C unit, and it would last me for another 16 to 18 years. The thing I enjoyed most about the modern heating and A/C unit is that the energy efficiency was really great, and before I knew it, our bills dropped a good amount. I told others about this community initiative with this HVAC dealer. I was able to give some referrals and more people decided to donate their old heating and A/C units.
