Not sure if I want to try a personal training gym

I used to pay for a gym membership when I lived in the south.

I never went to the gym though.

The weather was so great that I could do anything I wanted outside. I would swim at the local pool, go for a bike ride or just run. I recently had to move for my job and I now live in the north. The weather is just horrible and doing exercises outside is no longer possible. I now am looking at going to a gym because at least I will be the right temperature working out. The local gyms don’t have what I want though. The equipment is inferior or the space is too small. I also don’t want to be crammed when I do my fitness routines. There is one place that is really nice but it is a personal training center. I don’t know how I feel about working out with a personal trainer. I have always relied on myself and never asked for assistance. I am sure there are more workouts that I could be doing. I lift the same amount of weight the same way every time it is arm day. I will admit that whenever possible I just skip over my legs entirely. I would like to gain more back muscles but don’t know how to go about it. In an ideal world the personal trainer should be able to fix these things right? I am wondering if personal trainers are frat bros that just graduated college or certified fitness experts. I guess I won’t know until I go to the gym and try them out.
