When we had our second kid, I had to give up my library.

It wasn’t a big library but it was mine and I loved it.

It was needed to convert into a nursery, so that is what we did, and I never complained about it. Now kid number three is on the way, so the spare bedroom upstairs where I have been storing all my stuff needs to be turned into a kid’s bedroom. Once again, I will do what needs to be done for the good of the family and not complain about it. Instead I will find a solution that benefits everyone, in this case a storage locker with climate control in it. This time I am going to look out for myself, as well, because a nice storage locker with air conditioning can serve as a reading room and a study, too. If I need a quiet place to read, why not avail myself of the climate controlled storage locker, where it will no doubt be quiet. I’ve been in there with the door closed up, and with the AC on you really can’t hear anything at all. Oddly enough it isn’t deafening so much as an overpowering level of white noise, like the sound of your normal AC unit cranked up to 11. Not my preferred noise level, mind you, but a loud AC is better than squawking children any day of the week. My little storage locker does not have its own thermostat, unfortunately, but I still think that I can make this work.
