In this neighborhood, there have been numerous HVAC related scams lately.

It all started when the neighborhood lost its only HVAC supplier due to bankruptcy.

At the moment everyone is outsourcing the heating plus cooling dealership that’s in a different neighborhood to get any type of HVAC repair service. There are all sorts of scam artists trying to get the best of everyone who lives here. The most recent scam was an ad placed in the local paper saying that they were giving HVAC duct plus air duct cleanings for just $29.95! The price alone told me it was a scam! Remember all those super late night commercials where every absurd product that you didn’t know existed would be that price? I was genuinely curious to see if anyone believed the ad, so I went on the internet plus did a little research on the independent HVAC supplier that was offering the deal. I wasn’t surprised to see how several households believed this junk plus were scammed! They take your credit card information on the iphone plus say it’s a prepayment just so you keep your HVAC appointment. Then, they never show up. Multiple mornings later, you will find your credit card information has been taken plus you are getting thousands of dollars worth of unknown charges. The police are onto this scam, even though the newspaper hasn’t pulled the ad yet! I’m waiting to read about the lawsuites.
