I recently had almost been ripped off by a shady heating and air conditioning company that had opened up in my area. The heating and cooling business that had opened sounded too good to be true with all the really low prices being offered. They just sounded too nice! And usually when something sounds too good to be true it usually is. The heating and air conditioning company tried to get me to sign a contract for their really good sounding HVAC service plan. However when I read all the fine print on the contract I found that it was really a big scam! It had all these clauses in the contract that were hitting you with extra fees. And in the end the so called savings ended up being nothing. And not to mention the entire HVAC plan was more expensive than any other HVAC service plan at a well established heating and air conditioning company! Then here was the real icing on the cake…they wanted me to be locked in to their HVAC service plan for a total of 4 years! If I was to cancel at anytime for any reason my credit card would be charged nine hundred dollars! What if I had to move in that 4 year time period to another state? Or what if I was not happy in the slightest with their heating and air conditioning service plan? I’ve seen door to door salesmen for rip off pest control companies pulling this scam before. So I knew the game! I told these heating and air conditioning scam artists where to stick it. And of course I did not sign up!
