Corporate wellness is helpful for job in the warehouse

The class is super beneficial.

I work in an industrial warehouse packaging center, moving and preparing trucks and inventory for delivery. My job is extremely physically demanding. I need to constantly bend, twist, crouch and walk all around the stockroom floor. I also get in and out of heavy machinery constantly. A few years ago, my fitness level wasn’t an issue at work. Everybody on our staff was quite young, fit and strong. Over the years, things have changed. The group of guys I work with are frequently out due to injuries. There are several older guys who have strained their backs from lifting too much weight. Some of the overweight guys can’t get in and out of the machinery without difficulty. Our corporation has realized the problem and reacted by setting up a corporate wellness program. The company hooked up with a core progression gym and fitness and is the classes are a required part of the job. Prior to or following work, it’s mandatory for me to take an hour training session at least 3 days per week. The class is totally free and instructed by a certified fitness expert. The other daily sessions during the week are free to attend as well but are optional. If I go to class on the weekend, I get a half off membership fee. I have taken advantage of all of these resources and I now workout at the gym seven days a week. I am in the best shape ever, and it’s all because of the corporate wellness program. The class is super beneficial. I have learned how to fall safely and catch my own body weight. I have learned the proper way to pick up heavy objects without straining my back. I have gotten serious about the stretches I’ve been shown so that I am more flexible and avoid pulling a muscle. I am convinced this is going to be a good thing for the team.
