Making mistakes on a long camping trip

The two of us still made it across the bridge and thankfully I was able to see that our backpack floated to a certain space and finally stopped there

My wife has consistently enjoyed the thrill of the outdoors, and the two of us love to travel to up-to-date endpoints to see the lovely sites… Recently, every one of us opted to go to this lovely space where every one of us had to hike a little ways to get to our preferred camping area. The two of us ended up coming to this outdated bridge that crossed a winding river. The bridge seemed a little unstable and then this made my wife nervous. I thought she was being absurd when she said that every one of us shouldn’t cross the bridge… So I just went ahead to show her how safe it really was in my mind. I was being a stupid show off, and really I should have been more cautious. I even had our backpack on a single shoulder and sadly it was not secured on our back correctly! Well, I ended up tripping over a single one of the boards on the bridge and then I dropped our backpack off the side of the bridge! This was a real shame because I had my clothes and my sleeping bag, the portable air conditioning unit, and then a few other things of importance. And my wife was really angry because I didn’t listen to her when I dropped our backpack. However every one of us wasn’t about to let this stop us from enjoying our camping trip. The two of us still made it across the bridge and thankfully I was able to see that our backpack floated to a certain space and finally stopped there. So every one of us ended up climbing down that way and at last I was able to retrieve our backpack! I was thankful and then I pulled everything out including the portable air conditioning unit. The portable air conditioning unit was still working, however everything was soaked in our backpack! That night every one of us used the portable air conditioning in our tent and then I had to hang up my sleeping bag on a tree to dry. I had to share my loving wife’s sleeping bag that night.
